What does GPS recording do?
goGPS Drive saves phone locations with timestamps. Afterwards, inspect your route, start and finish times, distance and average speed. The GPS receiver does not need mobile data to determine a position.
Location history and filters
Find trips by date, with selections such as today, yesterday or the week. Review route lines, recorded points and statistics together. Available details depend on the selected recording and app version.
Background recording
Location recording depends on Android permissions and the app’s recording state. Battery saving and manufacturer restrictions can interrupt it. Check permissions and the active service notification before recording.
Offline limits
Locations can be saved without internet. Map viewing requires a previously downloaded region. Drive uploads, remote access and online services need connectivity. GPS accuracy depends on satellite visibility and your phone’s hardware.
How to get started
- Grant location permission and enable GPS recording.
- After your trip, open GPS recordings under Recordings.
- Choose a date to inspect the route and trip information.

Yes. goGPS Drive can record an Android phone’s GPS positions without internet. Download the region’s offline map in advance to see your location on it. Drive backup, live traffic and remote access require internet.
