Record when movement happens
goGPS Drive detects changes in the camera image for motion-triggered recording. This is useful with a stationary security camera or when you prefer motion-based recording. It does not identify people or perform face recognition.
Sensitivity settings
Low, medium, high and ULTRA++ change detection sensitivity. Higher settings can catch smaller movements but may also respond to lighting changes or image noise. Test the camera in its intended location.
How do remote alerts arrive?
In Remote Motion mode, videos upload to Drive and the main phone checks for new recordings. The notification interval limits repeated alerts; it does not change video duration or the Drive checking frequency.
If internet is unavailable
Local motion detection and recording work offline. Uploading to Drive and notifying another phone require internet. Results depend on lighting, placement, camera view and sensitivity.
How to get started
- Mount the phone and frame the area you want to monitor.
- Choose a sensitivity level and make a test recording.
- For remote alerts, complete the Drive and Main Phone setup.
Frequently asked questions
Can my phone detect motion without internet?
Yes. Local motion detection and recording in goGPS Drive can work offline. Uploading the video to Drive and delivering a notification to another phone require internet.
