Recordings are not uploading to Google Drive

Troubleshoot goGPS Drive backups by checking the Drive account, active status, internet, upload interval and GPS KML preference.

Creating a local recording and uploading it are separate steps. First confirm the file has finished recording and opens on the phone.

Check in this order

  1. In Settings, check that the correct Google Drive account is connected and the integration is active. An account can remain connected while passive, but automatic uploads will not run.
  2. Check internet access and free capacity in the Drive account. Allow the selected upload interval to pass, then review the last sync status and any error message.
  3. GPS may need its separate KML storage/upload preference enabled. Normal videos use goGPS/Video, GPS KML files use goGPS/GPS, accident-locked videos use goGPS/accidentlock and motion alerts use goGPS/MotionAlert.

How to confirm the result

Finish a short test recording. After upload, open the file in the correct Drive account. Verify important backups open before deleting local recordings.

If the problem continues

Prepare the phone model, Android and goGPS versions, mode, time of the problem, error message and steps to reproduce it. Do not share passwords, pairing codes or private location recordings.
